Ohmite's AP851 series offers 50 W of power dissipation in a small industry standard TO-220 package. Using thick film and an advanced thermal design helps achieve this great wattage capability using a proper heatsink. If a heatsink is not available the AP851 can dissipate 2.25 W in free air. The TO-220 package is electrically isolated from the back plate with up to 1800 V of insulation. Great temperature coefficients of 100 ppm and a non-inductive design maintain stability. Common applications included power supplies and power regulation.
