Power Integrations’ InnoSwitch3-Pro family of ICs dramatically simplifies the development and manufacturing of low-voltage, high-current power supplies. I2C digital programming greatly simplifies implementation of the variable output voltage and current rapid charging solutions while increasing design flexibility in conventional applications. The InnoSwitch-Pro architecture incorporates both primary and secondary controllers, with sense elements and a safety-rated feedback mechanism (FluxLink™) and a load switch controller and discharge circuit into a single IC. Accurate communication between the primary and secondary ensures precise control of both the secondary-side synchronous rectification MOSFET and the primary-side switching MOSFET. This improves system reliability and ensures the highest efficiency across the power range.
