Bourns;' SM453229-231N7Y and SM453229-381N7Y chip LAN 10/100/1000 Base-T transformers are unlike traditional LAN magnetics. They are built with multiple toroidal core transformers and common mode chokes in a single module. The chip LAN transformer is a discrete, center-tapped component wound on a drum core and capped with a ferrite plate to emulate the result of the close magnetic path of a toroid core. The model SRF2012A-801Y common mode chip Inductor pairs with the chip LAN transformer to provide EMI suppression.

Bourns' SM453229-231N7Y and SM453229-381N7Y chip LAN transformers are compliant with IEEE 802.3, and model SM453229-231N7Y is PoE+ capable. Both transformers are available in a 4.7 mm x 3.2 mm x 2.9 mm package size with an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. They are ideal for use in LAN interfaces for a variety of telecommunication and network devices.
