Encapsulated Vibration Motor Series

Jinlong's encapsulated vibration motors are designed for applications that require the electronics assembly to be potted, over-molded, or fully submerged in a liquid. Vibration motors that make use their metal capsule design are fully encapsulated and may be over-molded. They incorporate a plastic cap at the end of the metal capsule that is epoxied in place to prevent intrusion of liquids and are waterproof. The wires that pass through this cap are epoxied as well. They may be suitable for applications that require a vibration motor that is intrinsically safe. Please note that these motors do not have an IS or IP rating. Models that make use of plastic capsules may be used in less demanding applications and in most cases may be potted.

Brush type cylindrical motors are susceptible to failures due to liquid intrusion and humid environments that cause oxidation of the motors brush contacts. Encapsulation mitigates these factors that may lead to premature motor failure. The recently introduced Z7AL2B169208T is identical to the Z7AL2B1692082, but it uses thicker AWG 28 wire leads making it more suitable for certain applications.
