Bel Magnetics Solutions' 1GBase-T 100 W, 4-pair PoE quad-port integrated connector module (ICM) is designed for users looking to upgrade their product performance for maximum power of 100 W, or 1 A over standard Ethernet cables. Users can implement 100 W PoE to basically double the amount of power their product can handle over any existing application while still operating at Gb Ethernet speeds. The ICM is backward compatible with existing Ethernet networks. The 100 W module is ideal for LED lighting applications at the switch side and lighting ballast side.

This ICM can transmit or receive up to 100 W of power per port over all four pairs within the Ethernet cable while maintaining the bandwidth of the Gb Ethernet signal. The module can be used as power source equipment (PSE) or a powered device (PD). The device is compatible with major 1GBase-T physical layer devices (PHYs), including current-mode and voltage-mode. The ICM is backward-compatible to slower speeds and lower powers as needed and use industry-standard footprints and pin-outs. The device complies with the requirements of NBASE-T and IEEE 802.3bz.
