ChipGuard® ESD Suppressors: Bourns ChipGuard® ESD Suppressors are an MLV (Multilayer Varistor) family of ESD (Electrostatic Sensitive Device) protection products. The metal oxide technology of ChipGuard ESD Suppressors provides high impulse current capability of 20A at 8/20µs in the ultra-small 0402 type package, for example. These Bourns circuit protection devices include many AECQ-200 compliant, automotive-grade models.

TVS Diodes: Bourns surface mount TVS diodes are low capacitance devices that provide ESD, EFT, and surge protection for external ports of electronic devices such as cellular phones, handheld electronics and other portable electronic devices. Bourns TVS Diodes include smaller chip diodes that have the capability to provide a silicon diode with minimal packaging overhead. The chip diodes 0603, 1005, 1408, and 2010 are leadless, allowing for maximum space on PCB layouts. All Bourns diodes are RoHS compliant and meet many worldwide industry and government regulations on lead free components. TVS package diode design kits are also available from Bourns.

ChipGuard® MLC Series Automotive ESD Protectors: Bourns ChipGuard® MLC Series Automotive ESD Protectors are sub-1pF protectors designed specifically for use in automotive circuits requiring ESD protection. The CGA-MLC series is available in industry standard 0402 and 0603 packages. In addition to its very low capacitance, these protectors exhibit extremely fast response times to ESD events making them ideal for protecting a wide array of high speed digital electronic applications. The ChipGuard Automotive MLC Series is fully AEC-Q200 qualified.
