Analog-to-Digital Converter: ADS5281
OMO Electronic´ ADS5281 is an ultra-low power, 8-channel, ADC in a tiny 9x9mm QFN package. At 64mW of power consumption per channel, the device is the lowest power 12-bit MSPS ADC available today on a per channel basis. The device enables very dense system configurations without sacrificing performance. By incorporating serialized DDR LVDS outputs, the device minimizes the trace count from the ADC to the digital processor, significantly easing layout and reducing FPGA or ASIC pin consumption versus a parallel data fan-out. The ADS5281 is ideal for medical and industrial ultrasound applications that require 16 receive channels per system.
